Firefighters in Great Yarmouth have been kept busy over the weekend after responding to an out of control bonfire and a series of false alarms.
On Saturday, September 2, just before 9pm, a fire crew from Gorleston attended a site on Church Road, in Burgh Castle, Great Yarmouth, after a bonfire had reportedly surged out of control.
Once on scene the crew used a compressed air foam system to tackle the blaze and secure the area.
Crews were again called around 11pm after smoke was reported in the Breydon Bridge area of the town.
Upon arrival it was determined that this had been a false alarm and the burning was in fact controlled.
However, the previous day - Friday, September 1 - saw crews respond after a false alarm was intentionally raised.
Reports of building ablaze on Peggotty Road were later revealed to be the result of a 'false alarm caused by a malicious call'.
