Firefighters put out deliberate grass fire in Thetford Forest

Fire crews were called to extinguish a fire in Thetford Forest this afternoon.

Two appliances from Thetford and a water carrier from Hethersett were called at 3.40pm to reports of grass on fire in the forest.

The crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which had been deliberately ignited and took around 15 minutes to put out.
