Firefighters have launched an investigation to pinpoint the cause of a bathroom fire at a house in Thorpe Marriott.

Four crews were called to the house in School Road after the alarm was raised at around 3.45am on Sunday.

They used breathing apparatus and hosereel jets to bring the first floor blaze under control. Fans were also used to ventilate the property and the loft was also checked. Nobody was hurt in the blaze, but members of the fire service's victim support team were also on hand to help householders, while the an investigation team was trying to pinpoint what caused the blaze. The last crew left at 6.15am.
