A man has been taken to hospital after firefighters rescued him from his home after a house fire.
Crews were called to Poppy Street in Wymondham at just before 6.45am today (Wednesday, November 27).
Firefighters from Hethersett, Wymondham and Earlham were called to the blaze.
They helped to get a person, who was suffering from smoke inhalation, out of the property.
The man, in his 50s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by ambulance.
Crews used breathing equipment and hose reel jets to put out the fire.
The flames had been put out by 7.45am.
Police also attended and the fire service will begin an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
Neighbours have said they will rally around to support the man.
One neighbour said: "As a community we will support him to get back on his feet after this severe incident.
"He is a lovely guy who is always helping others, so we will all support him and make sure he is okay. We have already started talking about fundraising."
Another neighbour said: "We woke up just before 7am because of the noise and we saw loads of firefighters and there was some smoke. "We hope he is all right he seems like a nice guy."
