Firefighters were called to a Norwich home after a kitchen fire.

Fire crews from Carrow and Earlham were called to the fire at a home in Springbank in Lakenham at just after 7.30pm today.

The fire was in an oven and had been extinguished before the brigade arrived on the scene.

However fire crews used a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the home and checked for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.

They had left the scene by 7.45pm.
