Firefighters were called to Dereham after a cooking incident caused an alarm to activate.
The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crew from the market town were called to John Bates Close, off Matsell Way, at about 10.15am today (Saturday).
On arrival it was discovered that an alarm had been set off due to burnt food and crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to remove the smoke from the building.
No one is believed to have been injured in this incident.
