A swan with a broken wing has been rescued in a Norfolk village.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's technical rescue unit and surface rescue boat from Kings Lynn South were called by the RSPCA following reports of a swan with a broken wing at Three Holes.

Firefighters attended at just before 4pm on Sunday (February 11) and used the boat to rescue the swan and place it in the care of the RSPCA.

Meanwhile, firefighters were also called to another animal rescue earlier the same day.

A crew from Great Yarmouth was called to Manor Way, Ormesby St Margaret, at just before 11.10am after a dog got trapped in a chair.

The crew manually released the dog using small gear.
