Fire service probe suspected explosion at Norwich workshop

A suspected explosion at a car workshop is being investigated by the fire service.
Three fire appliances attended a premises in Pitt Street, Norwich, at around 3pm yesterday.
It is understood that there was a minor explosion with some windows shattered by the blast, and a section of pavement near the windows cordoned off.
The cause of the explosion is not known, and nobody was hurt in the incident.
It happened at a car mechanic workshop near the St Crispins roundabout, with other businesses in the vicinity including a car wash.
A police forensics van was at the scene yesterday, and fire investigators were also working to establish the cause of the incident.
