Firefighters were called to deal with an extractor fan which caught fire.
One appliance from King's Lynn was sent to a property on the town's Portland Place after the alarm was raised at 6.45pm yesterday.
Norfolk fire service said the crew used hand extinguishers to put out the fire.
A ventilation fan was then used to disperse smoke from the building.
