Fire services tackle fire involving 4,000 litres of oil

Fire services were forced to double their numbers to put out a fire involving 4,000 litres of domestic heating oil cylinders in the early hours of the morning.
Two Norfolk Fire and Rescue engines called to the scene of the fire in the village of Didlington, near Thetford Forest Park, had to call two more to help tackle the blaze, which involved an oil tank and four polytunnels.
Fire fighters from Swaffham, Methwold, Watton and Thetford were present from just before 2am until 3am on June 25.
A compressed air foam system and hose jets were used to extinguish the fire.
The incident took place on a back road near to the church of St Michael.
No one was reported to be hurt.
