Fire crews from Great Yarmouth, Martham and Gorleston were kept busy with a spate of early morning call-outs.

A crew from Gorleston fire station attended a vehicle fire on Common Road in Southtown at 3.59am this morning (Sunday, November 27). A brigade spokesman said the crew quickly put out the flames with a 'thermal image camera used to check for hot spots.'

At 4.27am, a crew from Great Yarmouth fire station tackled a vehicle fire on North Drive in Yarmouth. The brigade spokesman said: 'Crew wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets supplemented by a hydrant to extinguish.'

And at 4.56am, three fire crews were called out following a crash on Main Road in Rollesby. A fire crew from Martham, one from Great Yarmouth and a further crew from Gorleston 'made the vehicle and the surrounding area safe,' according to the brigade spokesman.
