Fire crews extinguish abandoned motorbike on fire in Thetford

Fire crews were called to extinguish a motorbike which had been set on fire in Thetford this afternoon.

Two appliances from Thetford and one from Hethersett were called at 2.45pm to reports of an abandoned motorbike on fire in the forest near Gloucester Way, on the Abbey estate.

One appliance from Thetford attended the scene, with the other two on stand-by.

The crew used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which was put out in ten minutes.

Norfolk Police were also informed of the incident.
