FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent 35 minutes tackling a house blaze in Kirkley early this morning.
Three crews from Lowestoft South station were called to the blaze at the home in Kirkley Run at 6.40am. On arrival a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the 'living room was well alight.'
The spokesman added that three people inside the property had been accounted for as firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels in the operation.
After a 'thorough search' of the property including the 'search of loft space' with the use of a thermal imaging camera, the scene was cleared by 7.15am.
A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed that they were called to the scene by the fire service but the early suggestion was that the blaze was accidental.
