Fire crews were called to Sainsbury's petrol staton in North Walsham this afternoon after a vehicle began leaking fuel on the forecourt.
Engines from North Walsham, Aylsham and Mundesley, plus a water carrier from Hethersett, attended the incident, at the Bacton Road garage, at about 4.30pm.
The firefighters made the scene safe and the garage has since re-opened.
A member of staff at the nearby Sainsbury's supermarket said this evening that a car's fuel tank had split, spilling petrol. The garage had been closed for about an hour-and-a-half while the incident was dealt with.
