Firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Long Stratton this evening.

Crews were alerted to the incident at a property in St Michaels Road at about 7pm.

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire was put out by about 7.30pm and that nobody needed to be rescued from the property.

One fire crew from Carrow and one from Long Stratton attended the scene along with the aeriel ladder platform and a support appliance from Earlham.

Fire crews used hose reel jets to put out the fire and a thermal image camera to check for hot spots.
