Communities across Norfolk are to benefit from more than £750,000 of improvements to make roads safer.
Vehicle activated signs, traffic calming measures and new footpaths are among 122 projects which have been given the go-ahead.
Parish and town councils will match £380,000 which Norfolk County Council will provide through its Parish Partnership programme.
The most popular bids have been for vehicle activated signs, which has seen 44 applications.
They are for signs known as SAM2, which, in most cases, remind drivers of their speed.
This year the Norfolk Safety Camera Partnership contributed £80,000 towards SAM2 bids.
Other popular schemes are Trods – with 24 bids put in for the simplified lower cost alternative to footways which are often constructed using recycled road surface material.
Toby Coke, chairman of the council's environment, development and transport committee, said: 'This is the fifth year running that we are offering this help through the popular Parish Partnership scheme.
'With a great range of schemes bid for this year I'm pleased we can help out so many parish and town councils with improvements that tackle local priorities.'
