Two more bodies have been found by police investigating the series of prostitute murders in Ipswich.

Suffolk police announced the women - believed to be missing vice girls Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls - had been found at Levington, near Ipswich, at about 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Both bodies were just hundreds of yards from the site where 24-year-old Anneli Alderton's body was found on Sunday. The first was spotted by a member of the public. A police helicopter investigating this report spotted the fifth.

If one of the women is formally identified as Miss Clennell it will mean the killer has struck within 48-hours - she is known to have contacted a friend on Sunday evening.

The discoveries bring the total deaths to five with Gemma Adams and Tania Nicol both found dead last week.
