The decision to relocate Upwell Village Post Office to a nearby shop has been met with disappointment from residents.
At a date which is yet to be announced, but services will be moved to the G & B Superstore in Town Street.
More than 400 residents signed a petition against the move and attended an open meeting in the village hall with MP Elizabeth Truss, local councillors and Post Office representatives.
Many were concerned about the parking situation in Town Street, space inside the new premises and the services that will be available.
Ms Truss, MP for South West Norfolk, said: 'I am disappointed as local residents have been very clear about their concerns of access, parking and privacy at the new post office location.
'It is important that Post Office Ltd takes this on board and what I am keen to ensure is ease of access and an appropriate level of privacy for those using the post office facilities. I will continue to support the parish council in securing this.'
The Post Office says the move allows for seven days a week opening in a more modern space. A vast majority of the services will remain.
Will Russell, regional network manager for the Post Office, said: 'We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Upwell and we are confident this new modern branch will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.'
