Fatal crash on the Halesworth Road between Blythburgh and Southwold

A womanhas died in a serious crash between a car and a lorry on the Halesworth Road.
All three emergency services, including the East Anglian Air Ambulance, were called to the A1095 Halesworth Road between Blythburgh and Southwold just after 1pm today.
Firefighters from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service fought to free the woman, who has not been named, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road has been closed and crews have been working to stem a flow of diesel from the HGV's ruptured tank.
Suffolk police is now appealing for anyone with information to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01473 613500.
