Families will have the chance to learn more about sustainable living at a free two-day festival in Norwich this weekend.

One Planet Norwich will feature various activities, exhibits and talks on recycling, home energy efficiency and the benefits of wild food.

The free event takes place on Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm at The Forum.

Bert Bremner, cabinet member for environmental strategy at Norwich City Council, said: 'This promises to be a really exciting event with something for everyone.

'Not only will you have a fun day out but you'll also be able to take home lots of top tips on how to live more sustainably and make those little changes every day which will help to make a positive impact on our environment.'

Interactive activities during the day include a pedal-powered smoothie maker, seed planting, eco experiments, junk drumming and a Scalextric racing track.

Karen Cannard, from ITV Tonight's Bin Doctor show, will be one of the inspirational guest speakers.
