Hundreds observed a two minutes silence to honour fallen servicemen and women during Armistice Day services in Lowestoft and Southwold.
In Lowestoft, a service was held on Royal Plain led by the Rev Matthew Payne of Lowestoft Christ Church, with readings from the town mayor Nick Webb and Bob King, chairman of the Lowestoft and District Royal British Legion.
A single wreath was laid at the cenotaph at the end of the service and children, who had come to watch the event with their carers, tied home made poppies to the railings.
A ceremony was held at Southwold's war memorial at Bartholomew's Green, which was attended by 100 people.
The vicar of St Edmund's Church, the Rev Simon Pitcher held a short service and address, before people including local veterans and school children, laid small wooden crosses at the memorial as tribute to the fallen.
Southwold mayor, Melanie Tucker, said: 'The laying of the crosses on Armistice Day is a really important occasion to remember those who have fallen.
'Its reassuring so many did attend the ceremony and that the communities in Southwold and Reydon continue to support those in some strength.'
