A fundraiser from Fakenham who has been collecting for charity for almost 20 years has thanked one of the town’s music groups for their “amazing” donation.
Sharon Moore, 47, who runs the Fakenham branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, was presented with a £500 cheque from the Fakenham Ukeleles.
Ukeleles leader Graham Thomas, along with other members of the band, donated the money at the Gallows Sports Centre, in Fakenham on Tuesday, February 5, at 11am.
Miss Moore said: “I am so grateful to the Ukeleles for donating money towards this fantastic cause.
“Cystic fibrosis is not a disease you can see and unless it has affected somebody you know, not many people are aware of what it is and that it is the UK’s most life-threatening inherited disease.”
Miss Moore has been fundraising for 19 years and raised more than £57,305.
She hopes to have raised a total of £75,000 by 2030.
