A new music festival held in Fakenham for the first time on Saturday could go ahead next year, the organiser has said.
The Fakenham Music Festival was held in the Market Place and at several venues around the town.
It marked the start of the annual Get Active in Fakenham Week, a nine-day programme of events and activities focusing on sport, music, arts and well-being.
Active Fakenham chairman Richard Crook said: 'It went well. The music was very good and there was a steady crowd of people throughout.
'We would like to do it again, but it costs a lot of money to do and takes a lot of work, so we could do with a bit more support from the town.
'I would have liked to have seen a few more people there. The people who did go really enjoyed it and we've had lots of positive feedback.
'In organisational terms everything ran very well and a I have to thank the small group of volunteers who did such an amazing job.'
The music began at midday with a selection of folk songs performed on a stage set up in the Market Place.
The performers included The Tildens, a west Norfolk country and folk band playing a mix of their own material and covers, and Alastair Robinson, a local singer and guitar player who regularly performs at local clubs.
There were more lively and upbeat performances in the evening, including from Rock Choir, who played their own version of well-known pop songs.
The party atmosphere continued in Fakenham's pubs and clubs, each hosting their own selection of local bands.
Mr Crook said the focus had been on showcasing local talent.
He said: 'I have been very impressed by the number and quality of musicians in Fakenham and nearby.'
Get Active in Fakenham Week activities are set to continue over the next days, concluding with the popular Fakenham 50 cycling festival, on Sunday, which is open to all and offers participants the chance to take on various route options, ranging from 15 to 62 miles.
