Fakenham junior school ramble for Children in Need

Crazy hats, colourful flags and marching children - it must mean that Children in Need is back.

Sponsored by friends and families, children at Fakenham Junior School took part in a five-kilometre ramble to the sounds of Baby Shark and The Proclaimers.

The school was inspired by Countryfile and the actions of Ethan, a young man who suffers from Cerebral Palsy who walked six-kilometres on the programme.

Year five class teacher Tracey Johnson, who organised the event, said: "The children love being involved with Children in Need. They can see it on television, in the papers.

"I really feel they value being part of it. And they know why they are doing it, to help children in our community and people across Norfolk."

Students also recycled old hats, turning them into Children in Need-themed headgear

This is the second year the school has held a ramble. Last year they raised £2,000 for charity.
