Now in its fifth year, the event attracts riders of all ages and abilities, with rides ranging from 15, 25 and 36 miles, to longer distances of 62 and even 100 miles.

But this year, in addition to the usual cycling challenges and afternoon tea and cakes, riders can sample locally brewed beer, South African street food and listen to live music from acts including Threescore and Andy McBride.

Organiser Richard Crook said: 'We are pleased to be hosting North Norfolk's All Day Brewing Company and the Norfolk based Durban Grill with its exotic South African food'.

The event, on Sunday, August 27, is open to all, with cycle routes sign-posted, and drinks and snacks available. All riders get a medal or trophy when they return, in addition to a souvenir water bottle and bag.
