The NHS says it urgently needs blood donors in the Fakenham area.
The blood and transplant unit say patients at local hospitals rely on their communities to donate and they are desperately short in the town.
In particular, they are keen for those with B negative and O negative types to come forward and donate.
The NHS needs 200,000 new blood donations a year as some donors can no longer give blood. The average age of a blood donor is 45 and they are keen to encourage younger people to begin donating to ensure there are not more dramatic shortages in the future.
To highlight the urgency of the need for donors in Fakenham, the NHS has set up a blood donating session at the Fakenham Community Centre on Oak Street on Friday June 29. The sessions will be held between 13.15 - 16.00 and 17.00 - 18.45
