The first ever production put on by the Norfolk Amateur Drama Society has been hailed as a fairytale success.

The newly-formed group put a pantomime version of Cinderella at Wymondham Central Hall starring actors aged from 10 to 18.

The young performers had the sell-out audience cheering and laughing throughout the show.

The Ugly Sisters were played by George Cooke, 14, and Louis Miller, 15, with many audience members reporting they not even realise they were male until half way through the show.

Prince Charming was played by Harry Smith, 13, and 15-year-old Imogen Addison in the role of Cinderella performed a duet, Love Story, which was described as 'spine tingling'.

One audience member said: 'Cinderella and Prince Charming were wonderful and their duet together was very emotional, but I have to mention the performance of the two Ugly Sisters - George for me, was an absolute star - who gave performances far superior than some I have seen in professional pantomimes.'

Buttons, played by 11-year-old Bradley Elliott, was another standout of the cast.

The society's next production will be 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat'.

Boys and girls aged 10 to 18 who are interested in singing, dancing and acting are welcome to come along to the auditions for the show, which will be on February 5 at The Deep End in Attleborough.
