The number of showers planned for £2m refurbishment of Long Stratton Leisure Centre will be increased following a public consultation.
The decision to boost the facilities follows feedback from hundreds of people about the scheme, which is set to transform the Swan Lane facility.
Yvonne Bendle, South Norfolk councillor and cabinet member for wellbeing, leisure and early intervention, said she thanked those who took part in the consultation. She said: 'We have looked at all of the responses and have made some changes to our plans, including increasing the number of showers, as a result.' The plans also include a refurbished sports hall and changing area, a new gym or 'fitness suite' on the first floor, a refurbished multi-use studio and a new spinning studio. The works are in response to the increased demand an extra 1,800 planned new homes for the village will bring.
