A south Norfolk youth charity is holding an open day so people can find out more about it and how they can help.

Exchange 2, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is a community-run charity for young people in Harleston and surrounding villages, providing youth facilities at The Cabin, based on the recreation ground.

The charity is looking for volunteers for various roles, including working with youth, admin support to trustees, and publicity. To find out more, drop in at The Cabin on Thursday, June 7, between 4pm and 7pm.

Anne Lowe, who has been involved in the project since the start, said: 'Young people need a relaxed and safe place to hang out, meet their friends and gain access to other support services; this is what we offer at The Cabin.'

The Cabin runs two weekly drop-in sessions run by volunteers with help from a youth worker.

Last year, it faced closure due to a lack of volunteers, but thanks to support from the local press and an open day, it was able to stay open.
