Mucha, an influential figure in fin-de-siècle Paris, is the subject one of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts' current exhibitions - Alphonse Mucha: In Quest Of Beauty.

Tomorrow night his grandson, John Mucha, is visiting the gallery for an event which will see him talk about his grandfather's work and the Mucha Foundation with the Sainsbury Centre's director Paul Greenhalgh. John Mucha will also be signing copies of the newly released book to accompany the exhibition.

Richard Smith, from the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, said: 'Mucha's distinctive style is well known but less well known are the aesthetic ideas behind its development. Our current exhibition Alphonse Mucha: In Quest of Beauty explores beauty focusing on drawings, paintings, photographs and iconic posters.

'We are delighted to welcome John Mucha, grandson of Alphonse Mucha, for an exclusive book signing and discussion encompassing Mucha's work and influence as well as the broader culture of Art Nouveau world wide.'
