AYLSHAM: A teenager opened his new PlayStation 2 console bought for £95 via the internet and found a bundle of 65,400 euros - worth nearly £44,000.
Police are now holding the money and if they cannot trace the owners, the 16-year-old boy's family from Aylsham could apply to keep it.
The package, bought on Ebay, arrived in March. The youngster's parents contacted the police who are holding the money under the Proceeds of Crime Act while they investigate, having got an order from Norwich Magistrates' Court. They are due back in court in September to review the case.
