Ballot papers are in the post for a residents' poll over plans to build an incinerator near King's Lynn.
Every council tax payer in West Norfolk is being asked: 'Do you support the construction of a mass burn municipal waste incinerator on the Willows Business Park, Saddlebow, King's Lynn?'
The poll is an all postal ballot, with a closing date of February 28. The result of the poll will be available on 1 March 2011.
In a statement today west Norfolk council, which is behind the survey, said: 'The decision to organise the poll was taken on November 25, by the full council, to ascertain the views of borough residents on the proposal to build an incinerator in West Norfolk. 'The results of the poll will be made available to Norfolk County Council, the responsible planning authority for the proposal.'
