Thieves have broken into three cars in Mildenhall, stealing a cheque book and clothing.

Police are linking the break-ins, which happened over Friday and Saturday last week.

In the first theft, a bag was taken from an unlocked maroon Nissan in Miles Hawk Way some time between 4.30pm on Friday and 7am the next day.

The bag was emptied on a nearby footpath and a chequebook was stolen.

An unlocked blue Chrysler Voyager was also targeted in Miles Hawk Way between 10pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday, but the thieves only managed to escape with a bag of rubbish.

A green BMW was broken into between 11pm on Friday and 8am the next day. The boot was forced and two bags of military clothing were taken.
