The peregrine falcons that have been nesting atop Cromer's parish church and Norwich Cathedral have been a source of fascination and delight to many.

And these stunning images by Lynn Rudd show one of the coastal birds of prey perched atop the 14th Century church. The peregrine then spreads its wings, lifts off into the air - and bags a big, tasty pigeon!

The prey was no doubt later shared with the falcon's three chicks that have hatched over the past weeks. In a later picture, the peregrine can be seen sitting back on the a ledge with feathers in its beak.

Ms Rudd said: "After following the Norwich peregrines for so long how wonderful to get such lovely low views of these beautiful birds.

"Was lovely to see the excitement they are creating, too. Lost count of the number of people who stopped to ask me questions about them."
