The number of crimes reported around Attleborough was down by more than 20pc in December 2016 compared with the previous year.

Latest Norfolk Constabulary figures show there were 102 crimes reported through the month in the Attleborough policing neighbourhood, which includes East Wretham, Garboldisham, New Buckenham, Thompson, Little Ellingham and Snetterton. Many of the crimes reported (27) fell into the category of 'violence and sexual offences', however there were also 23 incidents of 'anti-social behaviour'.

In December 2015, there were 130 crimes reported in the same area, but in 2014, there were 79 crimes reported.

The police are planning to host a SNAP meeting at the Attleborough Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday, February 23) from 7pm. The public is invited to attend to discuss their concerns and help the neighbourhood team set new priorities.
