Firefighters, police and ambulance crews have stood down after they were called to Bridge Road, south of the bridge, at 10.30am today, August 14.

A spokesperson from the Coastguard confirmed all services have been stood down following reports an object was in the water.

Flood boats were used in the search, while a spokesperson from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service initially said a person was reported to be trapped in mud, however, the coastguard confirmed no person is stuck in mud, but they are looking for a person in the water.

Search helicopters have since left the scene shortly before 1pm.
