A road was blocked this evening following a collision between a cyclist and a lorry near Lowestoft.

Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to the scene of the crash on the roundabout close to the Castleton Avenue junction at around 5pm.

A police spokesman said: 'We were called by the ambulance service at 5pm today (Friday) to reports of a collision between a lorry and a cyclist at Carlton Colville.'

The East Anglian Air Ambulance was also been called to the scene, but the one patient was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance.

Their condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
