A plane was diverted to land at Norwich International Airport this morning after both pilots reported feeling ill.
A strange smell caused by 'unknown fumes' had caused the pilots of a commercial flight from Bristol to Amsterdam to report their problem and the plane was brought in to land at the airport just after 9.30am.
Several fire crews were initially scrambled and an emergency response ambulance vehicle also rushed to the scene.
However the aircraft landed safely and there was no need for medical treatment for the pilots or passengers and the emergency services were stood down.
