Elderly man falls victim to distraction burglary in Gorleston

The burglary took place at a home in Leman Road between 12.05pm and 12.25pm yesterday.

A man called at the property and asked the elderly occupant if he had anything to sell. He then went inside and asked the victim if he had any watches or rings before following him into the bedroom.

The male left a short time later when the victim noticed an Omega watch was missing.

The thief is described as white, about 40 and wore red/brown three quarter length coat.

Anyone who saw a man matching that description or has information on the burglary is urged to call Det Con Jon Cotterell at Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
