An elderly couple is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a lorry and a car at the weekend .
Emergency services were called to the A134 at Mundford yesterday after the crash, which closed the Thetford-King's Lynn road for more than four hours.
Police are appealing for information following the incident between the Mercedes A180 car and black M.A.N articulated goods vehicle, which happened on the Mundford roundabout, at the junction with the A1065, at 5.45pm.
The Mercedes was travelling from Thetford towards King's Lynn and the goods vehicle in the opposite direction.
The occupants on the Mercedes, a 79 year old man and 72 year old woman, both from Lincolnshire, were released by firefighters and taken to the West Suffolk Hospital at Bury St Edmunds with serious multiple injuries.
The driver of the goods vehicle, a 31 year old man from the Wisbech area, was uninjured.
