It is a striking piece of artwork which has been created by young learners at one Lowestoft-area school to mark a special centenary.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First World War, the piece of art has been carefully created by the learners at Warren School.

Tracy Read, teacher who supports the school council at the school in Clarkes Lane, Oulton Broad said: “Learners at Warren School have worked together to produce some collaborative artwork to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

“The work was commissioned by the school council who asked that learners in each class produced a poppy to add to the overall piece.

“We are really pleased with the amount of thought that has been put into creating the poppies. No two classes had the same design which has really helped to make it such a striking piece of work.

“Staff and learners alike are delighted with the end result and are proud to display the piece within school.”
