A top team of young baking enthusiasts from Sheringham Primary School had a chance to see their creative confections on the shelves of a Sheringham shop, after they won a competition to come up with a cake design summing up all that is best about the town.
The challenge was set by Lawrences Budgens, which recently opened at Weybourne Road filling station.
The four winners saw their designs baked into cakes by the Craft Bakery, in High Street, before being sold at Lawrences, with all proceeds from sales going to school funds.
Budgens Sheringham managing director Andrew Lawrence, who has run the filling station for nearly 20 years, presented the youngsters with prizes and certificates during morning assembly.
He said: 'We were overwhelmed with the standard of work from the children and it was difficult to choose the winners.'
