Pupils at West Lynn Primary School put on their princess dresses, wizard capes, big ears and loud cheers for the opening of their first library.
The school celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters.
The 'best costume' winners were Bella and Cody, dressed as Cruella De Vil and The BFG.
The lucky winners got the chance to cut the ribbon on the launch of their new library, which includes over 2,000 books.
Teaching assistant Darren Furzey and Michelle Adams put forward the idea of a library to be added to the school in November last year.
They partnered with Angela Gromoff and Rebekah Butler from Friends of West Lynn Primary School to raise funds for the new facility.
Mr Furzey said: 'Reading is important for children's education, the library will benefit the children greatly.
'We have never had one before so now it will help the children before they get to high school.'
