Nursery children at Taverham Hall Preparatory School have had some help planting trees and creating a sensory kitchen garden.
Ian Flatters, from Salhouse tree surgeons Target Trees, visited the school on Wednesday and talked to the children about the many different types of trees and plants available.
They also worked together in creating a bird feeding station, a bug hotel and formed a log seating area.
Jenny Flatters, nursery manager, said: 'It is very easy with today's busy family lives to forget that everyone just needs that quiet moment in the woods, and have time and space to learn how to plant vegetables while learning about the importance of taking care of our environment.'
