Hundreds of family members and friends have joined students at Norwich Cathedral to celebrate a sunny graduation day as the culmination of all their hard work.
The two graduation ceremonies yesterday (Saturday) marked the achievements of more than 500 City College Norwich students who completed degrees and other higher education courses.
Almost 300 students were able to attend on the day to receive their awards, including honours degrees and foundation degrees, validated by the University of East Anglia, as well as BTEC Higher National Diplomas, postgraduate teaching qualifications and other higher level awards from professional bodies.
After the ceremony in the cathedral's stunning nave, the graduates poured out into the cloisters in high spirits, with many deciding to jubilantly throw their mortarboards into the air.
