Two Norfolk schools have been shortlisted in a ceremony recognising outstanding achievements in school life.
Both Open Academy, in Norwich, and Stalham Academy have made the final list in the Education Business Awards 2018.
Open Academy, run by the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust, has been chosen in the ICT Innovation Award, while Stalham Academy was listed in the Outstanding Progress (Primary) category.
A description of some of the finalists says that Stalham Academy was once a school that was 'unliked by parents and the local community', but one that has turned things around.
They cite its role in the Norwich Teaching School, good Ofsted rating and the workshops and open mornings it hosts detailing its turnaround, as well as its strong exam results.
The Thomas Clarkson Academy, in Wisbech, was shortlisted in the Academy Partnership Award, while Neale-Wade Academy, in March, made the final selection in the School Recruitment Award.
