An exciting vision of the classroom of the future has won 10 laptops for Sprowston Community High School.

The Year 7 pupils finished second in the Guardian/Intel Class of 2025 contest, after impressing judges with a video entry themed around 'the five I's': independent learning, imagination, initiative, and information via the internet.

Their proposal featured holograms, feedback 'diary rooms' and 4D simulations to replace textbooks.

John Cordeaux, Head of Year 7, praised the pupils, adding: 'I think in 15 years quite a lot of those things could be possible.'
