A headteacher is heading to pastures new as he prepares to lead his high school into an academy trust.
Dr Simon Fox will be leaving Flegg High School in Martham next April and will join nearby East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston as its deputy principal and deputy chief executive.
He joined the high school five years ago and as he gears up to leave he will finalise its transition to the Ormiston Academies Trust.
In a letter to parents and carers Dr Fox has reflected on his five years at the school and says there are many achievements he is proud of.

He lists record outcomes for the school, an expanding intake, significantly developing arts, sport and STEM provision, creating partnerships and securing funding for a 3G pitch.
Dr Fox also said: 'All of this has contributed to our successful Ofsted visits, three in four years, which identify the real strengths of the school and recognise the improvements we have made to get to 'Good'.'
His letter added: 'Reputationally, the school is well thought of in the community and beyond.
'This is due in large part to our amazing students who repeatedly demonstrate their compassion, consideration, positive attitude and determination both in and out of school.
'I shall miss them tremendously, and am delighted that in my new role I will get to see many of them as they start the next phase of their education at sixth form.'
Dr Fox added that joining the Ormiston Academies Trust will create a strong foundation for the school's future.
Governors at the school are now in the process of planning an interview process for his replacement and it is likely a successor will be appointed at the end of the Easter term.
Peter Spencer, chairman of the governors, said in a letter to parents and carers: 'During his time at Flegg, Dr Fox has led the school with great passion and enthusiasm.
'He has achieved so much in his time with us, perhaps most importantly guiding the school to a 'Good' judgement from Ofsted in May 2016.'
The academy chain already comprises more than 30 schools including Cliff Park, Ormiston Venture, Herman, and Edward Worlledge in the Great Yarmouth area.
