Parents at Cawston Primary Academy have been sent a message warning them that a man in a van has been approaching children and offering them a ride.
The message states: 'Just to make you aware, we have had reports of a man in a van approaching children in Cawston and offering a ride. Police aware.'
A school spokesman said that, although the pupil involved was from Reepham High School, they thought parents should be made aware of the incident, which happened this morning.
A spokesman for Norfolk police confirmed that they had received reports of an incident, but had not yet seen the child or parents involved.
Anyone with information should contact Norfolk police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
