Sea cadets were rescued from the river Wensum this evening while their boat was evacuated - but thankfully the operation was all part of a training exercise for Norfolk fire and rescue service.
Three crews from Carrow, Sprowston and Earlham headed to the Riverside for the practice drill.
They pulled two sea cadets from the water, rescued two boats and evacuated the cadets' base, the TS Lord Nelson.
Lieutenant Mark Janner-Burgess from the cadets said: 'The fire service wanted to have the experience of a ship and it was a good exercise for us to make sure our procedures are correct.'
